Beers and Bierstadt: Tasting and Tour

Do you love beer and art? Then mark your calendars for Beers and Bierstadt, a celebration of the start of the Oktoberfest season and our exquisite exhibition, The Bierstadt Brothers: Painting and Photography, which closes on October 1. Three of Westchester’s best local breweries—Alternative Medicine Brewing Co., Simple Motive Brewing Co., and Soul Brewing Co.—will provide tastings and beer for sale in the HRM Courtyard. To accompany your microbrews, we’re offering micro gallery tours. Starting at 6pm, learn all about The Bierstadt Brothers on tours of the exhibition, led by Laura Vookles, Chair, Curatorial Department.

The Bierstadt Brothers: Painting and Photography features work by iconic Hudson River School painter Albert Bierstadt alongside photographs by Edward and Charles Bierstadt of the Hudson Valley, Niagara Falls, and Yosemite Valley. Together, this compelling display demonstrates the brothers’ distinctive perceptions of the American landscape and their lasting legacy on American art and popular culture.
